What is a Paint Correction?
A Paint Correction is a process designed to remove imperfections such as swirl marks, scratches, water spots, oxidation, and other accumulated damage on a vehicle's paintwork or clear coat. Using specialized compounds, polishing machines, and wet sanding techniques, we aim to deliver a deep wet gloss look and restore the luster of the paint. Depending on the level of correction you want for your vehicle, here are the differences between each service:
One-Step Polish
One-step polish combines the traditional compound and polish stages into one, making it the least time-consuming option. While it may not completely remove all paint defects and imperfections, it significantly enhances the gloss and clarity of your vehicle's paintwork, achieving over 50% defect removal.
Two-Step Correction
Unlike the One-Step Polish, the Two-Step Correction is more time-intensive and provides superior results in removing defects. This method involves separate compound and polish steps. The compound step focuses on eliminating imperfections, while the polish step enhances the smoothness, gloss, and clarity of the paint, achieving over 75% defect removal.
Three-Step Correction
For more severe paint defects that cannot be adequately addressed by a Two-Step Correction, the Three-Step Correction is recommended. This process includes a wet sanding step before the compound and polish stages. Wet sanding levels the flaws, the compound step refines the surface, and the polish step brings out the ultimate gloss and clarity in the paint. This comprehensive approach guarantees the best wet gloss look and luster for your vehicle's paint, achieving over 90% defect removal.
**After a paint correction, it is highly recommended to add some form of protection to the paint win the form of a Wax, Sealant, or better yet a Ceramic coating.***
